One of the fastest growing sports in North America, Kickboxing combines
an intense cardio, endurance, co-ordination, and self-defense system
in one complete program. The Kickboxing taught at the Suitela Fitness and
Self-Defense Centre is a combination of Muay Thai and Boxing. Some
of the techniques that this program incorporates are knee strikes,
elbow strikes, leg kicks, spinning back fists, and spin kicks.
Kickboxing is being practiced by more and more women because of
its aerobic and self-defense benefits.
Our Kickboxing program eludes some od the traditional formalities,
usually associated with stricter Martial Arts disciplines.
The atmosphere is fun adn casual.
We enter our athletes in kickboxing competitions. If you are bold and
courageous enough to give it a try, you may decide to become a
competitive fighter. This is not for everyone. Long hours of hard
training are part of being a competitive kickboxer. Many people
find that they do not have the time to go to this level. Serious
soul searching is required before committing to a real kickboxing
match.
